This solenoid switch is used to reverse polarity on Permanent Magnet winch motors with 2 terminal posts.
This solenoid only works with Permenant Magnet motors.
Will not work with older style motors with copper wound fields.

I bought this for my camper landing gear but have yet to install one. I recommended this same relay to my brother for his camper landing gear and he already installed it. On his first use, it would not work in both directions. Yes it is wired correctly. These may be cheap for a reason.
