1st Customer Review : Great Little Compustar Add-on
I bought the drone mobile as an add-on for my car alarm/starter combo unit from compustar and so far it seems to work pretty good.
The install needed to be done by a licensed installer (a friend works at a local place here) but after a few hours it was up and running.
The reason I bought this was so I can have email notification and text message if your vehicle alarm goes off when you're not around and can't hear it (out of town or at a friends house). you can start / stop / arm / disarm everything right from your phone and it works great. There are a ton more options like geo-fencing and vehicle status and GPS location but you have to pay extra for all of that ($10 a month i think)
Also this device only works in canada on the rogers network just so you know

2nd Customer Review : GPS Remote Start W/ Smartphone
I just had this installed in a car for a Christmas present. It works great! Install a simple app on your smartphone and where ever you have a signal (to both the car and your phone) you can start, stop, lock, unlock and track your car. I only initially wanted GPS remote start since the person parks in a garage and would only be able to start the car while within 800ft (with the key fob). The GPS start works very well. There are also neat forms of tracking that parents with teenage drivers can look into such as driving range and setting boundaries and track where and at what time the vehicle was. Good luck. I'm sure there are other similar products, but my local car expert only uses this product, so I went with it. Glad I did.
