1st Customer Review : Works fine
I added this to my 2008 Toyota Tacoma. It took me several hours to do the installation since I don't do this type of work very often. I soldered all of the connections to prevent issues with crimp connectors which can be a problem over time. I also had to add a transponder key bypass module to the system due to the use of a chip in the key. I used the key bypass module #PKALL which is made by the same company and does not require you to sacrafice one of your keys as some modules do.
I would not recommend this as a do it yourself job unless you have some experience with cars and some kind of electronics. It's not as straight forward a job as you would like, you need to locate specific wires under the dash and in the kick panel area to make your connections and there are quite a few connections to be made. On my vehicle I had to add two extra relays to the system in order for it to work, one was for a second start signal and the other was for the door unlock signal.
