figured it would be helpful to some if there was some sort of review on here for this product.
purchased this for my dad for christmas. it is to be installed in his 2012 EcoBoost.
For those that are going to attempt to install this unit yourself, it DOES come with a wire labeling/color coding sheet but that is all it comes with besides the operation manual. the kit comes with everything you need to install it with the exception of a relay for the lighting system(if needed).
remember to test your wires even if the wire is the color you are looking for. Vehicle wire codings can be found on BULLDOGSECURTIY.COM. very helpful information there, DIRECTED does not give support to DIY installers.
im giving this system a 5 star right now because i have a feeling the system will work perfectly for my dad. i will post back after i install it with any other notes and/or complaints.

2nd Customer Review : Love it!! Use it with 2 cars
I picked up 2 these guys on amazon and had a buddy install in a yukon Denali and a ford f250 sd. He had a bit writer and was able to program it to have the ability to have each remote control either car. So now we have 4 remotes. I keep 1 next to my bed so I can fire up the truck while just waking up. My wife loves the feature. Another nice feature that most remote starts have is if u push the remote start key while the truck is driving and in park you can pull the key. So quick stop to grab your dry cleaning engine stays hot and less wear and tear on everything. Some cars require dball or other units that are bypass modules. Sorry for the ramble Oh yeah distance is pretty good. Nothing crazy.
