1st Customer Review : Always check the battary hold down to see if soldering points are good.
My daughters 2009 Chev Cobalt key fob stopped working and upon opening I noticed the prongs that hold the battery in place where broken. They appeared to have been broken when she was replacing the battery. I chalked the damage up to a 19 yr old not know what she was doing and went online to start looking for a replacement. I ordered the FIRST replacement (not through Amazon) the very next day from a company that had really good reviews (even paid more to go with the higher reviewed, five stars, company). Long story short the fob looked fine from the outside, so I decided to pop open the case to inspect the battery prongs and found one of the two soldering points was broken and knew it wouldn't make it through one battery replacement. I had to return that fob for a refund since the highly rated company I ordered it from didn't have any more in stock. They where not happy I wasn't willing to wait on a replacement. Next, I went on Amazon and ordered another Fob (new, not refurbished...

Got this programmed at the dealership, worked for 3 days then quit working, am working on trying to switch out the battery and test it, but either way, that's just more unexpected expense.
