I had the misfortune of losing my keys, including the keyless entry remote that I used for my car. After checking the Internet, the pricing for this replacement is very good. There were some errors in how to program it with my car, even the Mazda dealer couldn't do it! I agree with the previous poster that the one-star reviews are unfounded. Anyone purchasing this product must know that they will end up soldering wires under their dash. How else would you expect this box to open your doors and blink your lights? Come on...

As for the product, it works exactly as described and as one would think it should. For $50, this is a bargain. It took me about 3 hours to get it all installed and a good deal of that was figuring out which wires did what in my car (a manual will bring this time way down). That said, the installation couldn't be easier once you know which wires you want: just strip off some insulation, solder the appropriate wire from the harness provided to the wire in your car, repeat as needed. Simple, simple.

Electrical circuits in cars are _very_ simple. For the most part, they're all just circuits that switch power - no signals to transmit or anything fancy. That said, if you don't know what a relay is or how one...

2nd Customer Review : Unbeatable for the price range
Let me be upfront about this: I purchased this product after trying to install a similar system made by Bulldog Security. That system was slightly more expensive, but available at a local parts store.

Before buying this, be sure you know how to connect wires in your car. Also be sure you can figure out (or find a diagram) telling you which wire is which. I would think that is an obvious thing, but the negative reviews seem to be largely based on the fact that these instructions (labeled Professional Install Only) do not explain in painfully clear detail how to do everything.
They include a diagram of the harness that connects to the head unit and very clearly explain what each wire is for - which is really all you need in the first place.

That said, for the Do-It-Yourself'er with some basic auto wiring experience, this is not a complicated job. The most difficult thing will be figuring out where you'd like to mount the system, and what type of door lock...

I'm reasonably handy with auto repair, maintenance, electricity/electronics, etc. It took me about 5-6 hours to completely install this unit to add remote keyless entry to my 1995 Ford Mustang GT. Identifying and locating the wires is a chore. My only regret is not spending a little more $$ and time to add remote start, maybe 3-4 more wires. The remote range is fine, like the flashing blue led.

I purchased a 2005 Nissan Sentra as my first financed vehicle and it was a year of issues and problems, but one thing that really bugged me was the key lock only being on the driver's side of the car. So, ideally, opening doors for other passengers would become tedious so I wanted an easier way to have easy access to my locks and trunk without killing my wallet so I got this helpful little device. It was cheap, it arrived earlier than expected, and it's fairly easy to program (the instructions are given on the Keyless website). I recommend this remote fob to anyone who has an 05' Sentra.

I purchased one of these remotes from Keyless ride and I'm overall satisfied with the product. Though it is not a authentic Nissan part, it closely resembles and functions the same. The craftsmanship is good quality and the materials are close if not the same as Nissan's part. Programming the remote to function with the car was a fairly easy and the instructions were simple to understand. It only took one try at the procedure to activate the alarm with the remote. The only drawback I have had so far is well...ordering the wrong remote. So to anyone who's looking to purchase a remote for their vehicle, I strongly suggest looking at Keyless Ride first. Be sure to have the correct information for you vehicle before ordering. One thing you will not mind when purchasing one of these remotes is the price.
